TY - Data T1 - High resolution downscaling dataset of climate dynamics in inland river basins (Heihe River Basin) in arid areas (1960-1975) A1 - ZHAO Lin A1 - Meng Xianhong A1 - Wen Xiaohu A1 - CHEN Hao DO - 10.12072/ncdc.nieer.db7031.2025 PY - 2025 DA - 2025-12-16 PB - National Cryosphere Desert Data Center AB - This dataset uses the WRF v4.2 regional weather model to conduct dynamic downscaling simulations of the Heihe River Basin at a resolution of 9 km during the historical period (1960-1975). The initial field and lateral boundary conditions of the model are derived from ERA5 reanalysis data from the European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) (spatial resolution 0.25 °× 0.25 °, temporal resolution 6 hours), and the underlying surface is based on official static geographic data from WRF, including terrain height, land use, and vegetation type. In the model configuration, an improved snow density parameterization scheme and gravel scheme were introduced in the CLM land surface process, and the YSU boundary layer scheme and dynamic roughness parameters were optimized. At the same time, Spectral Nudging constraints were combined to enhance the consistency of large-scale circulation. The hourly high-resolution hydro meteorological elements output by WRF are processed through time processing, daily scale statistics, and spatial interpolation to generate regular grid data products with a spatial resolution of 0.1 °× 0.1 ° and a time resolution of daily scale. The data is published in NetCDF format, with the time system being Beijing Time (BJT, UTC+8), and the file name being {Variable Name} _ {Year} _SJT_interp.nc. The dataset includes daily cumulative precipitation, daily maximum/minimum temperature, daily cumulative shortwave radiation, daily average wind speed of 10 meters, and daily average relative humidity of 2 meters. It can provide high-resolution meteorological forcing data for watershed scale hydrological simulation, ecological process research, and climate change impact assessment.
