By using the Groundwater Modeling System (GMS) software for numerical simulation of groundwater, simulated water level and model water balance data were obtained for Dahaize in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province and Nalinhe No.2 mining area in Wushen Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The dataset includes four sets of data: a comparison between the measured and calculated values of the groundwater level in the Dahaize coal mine, a comparison between the measured and calculated values of the groundwater level in the Nalinhe No.2 mine, a water balance table for the groundwater system in the Nalinhe No.2 mining area, and a water balance table for the groundwater system in the Dahaize mining area.
