The full name of aster is advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer. Japan is responsible for the development of Aster sensor, while the United States is responsible for providing platform (Terra satellite, launched in 1999), launching devices and services, as well as uploading and downloading instructions and remote sensing survey data. ASTER image has broad application prospects in Glacier, hydrology, urban expansion, volcanic prediction, evapotranspiration / surface temperature, geology and so on. It is the only multispectral sensor with high spatial, spectral and radiation resolution covering 14 bands from visible light to thermal infrared, including 3 visible and near-infrared bands with 15 m spatial resolution, 6 short wave infrared bands with 30 m spatial resolution and 5 thermal infrared bands with 90 m spatial resolution. It also has the three-dimensional observation ability of the same orbit (black-and-white stereo image pair).
In 2012, 12 aster images were obtained. The coverage is the ecological hydrological test area of artificial oasis in the middle reaches, and the acquisition time (Beijing time) is: 2012-05-302012-06-152012-06-242012-07-102012-08-022012-08-112012-08-182012-08-272012-09-032012-09-122012-09-192012-09-28. The transit time of the above data is about 12:00 (Beijing time). The product grade is L1A without atmospheric correction and geometric correction.
The ASTER Remote sensing data set of the joint experiment of integrated remote sensing observation of ecological and hydrological processes in Heihe River Basin was purchased by Japan's European Space Agency (JAXA)
