The distribution of irrigated farmland is a key data for conducting ecological, hydrological, and climatic research, and holds a particularly important position in soil and water resource management. By using a semi-automatic machine learning model and integrating multiple remote sensing data sources (including farmland distribution, vegetation index, and rice field distribution), irrigation statistics and survey data, as well as irrigation suitability, a China annual and 250 meter irrigated farmland distribution map (CIrrMap250) was generated. Evaluate the accuracy of irrigated farmland distribution data using 20000 reference samples and high-resolution irrigation water intake data. The results show that the overall accuracy of CIrrMap250 in 2000, 2010, and 2020 was 0.79-0.88, which is superior to existing similar products.

The farmland integration product is stored in tif format, and the file name is "CIrrMap250_yyyy. tif", where yyyy represents the year, and CIrrMap250_2000.tif represents this tif file describing the distribution of irrigated farmland in China in 2000. The data is presented in GeoTIFF format, using WGS84 geographic coordinates. The value range in the graph is 0-100, representing the percentage of irrigated farmland in each 250 × 250 meter grid (i.e. pixel value=irrigated area/pixel area × 100).
Developed by integrating multi-source remote sensing data (including farmland distribution, vegetation index, rice field distribution), irrigation statistics and survey data, as well as irrigation suitability.
The spatiotemporal resolution and accuracy of the data are superior to similar products.
